The best way to lose belly fat is to not concentrate on losing belly fat! Paradoxically, one of the best ways to get rid of belly fat is to concentrate on a total-body fat loss program. This is because trying to target fat loss in your abs is, on the whole, a waste of time. You need to work according to the principle that losing body fat over your whole body will inevitably lead to losing weight around your belly. 1. Get More Sleep – being sleep-deprived can lead to you putting on belly fat. This is because it disturbs the hormone balances of two “fat causing” hormones in your body. Even an extra half an hour’s sleep a night can help significantly (or simply play the Snooze game less often).

2. Gain 7 lbs. of muscle – that’s right, I recommend you gain weight in order to lose fat! So for example, if you are looking to drop 7 lbs, I recommend you lose 14 lbs. of fat and then gain 7 lbs. of muscle. This is because having extra muscle increases your base metabolism, and hence increases the rate at which your body burns fat. Also, having extra muscle gives you the illusion of being thinner, because your body looks more taut and in proportion.

3. Replace cereals and spreads with eggs and vegetables – The typical breakfast of cereal, milk and toast is one of the most nutritionally-sparse meals possible.

4. Learn to love squats at the gym – doing squats recruits the most amount of muscle fibres out of any movement, and as such releases the most amount of testosterone and growth hormone possible in a workout. These are THE two best fat burning hormones bar none.

5. Eat the same few meals over and over again – the most successful dieters don’t follow elaborate diet plans, because these require you to learn to cook all sorts of new recipes. Most diets fail not because of a lack of motivation to lose weight, but from a lack of motivation to completely change their meals and learning to cook them.
